Apprenticeships at WFM provide an ideal blend of work and study; giving you new challenges in a real, successful workplace while developing your confidence and abilities.
You might be surprised by just how rewarding they are and how far an apprenticeship can take you.
Starting an apprenticeship allows you to earn while you learn, getting the best of both employment and education. You’ll gain valuable on-the-job knowledge while still taking home a monthly paycheque.
We’ve run a successful apprenticeship scheme for over 10 years, with the majority of our apprentices becoming permanent members of the team after completing the programme.
Initially starting with the Support department, the scheme has now been rolled out across the company, with apprentices joining the Sales, Projects and Infrastructure teams.

Apprenticeships are available across a very wide range of industry sectors and are an excellent way of gaining nationally recognised apprenticeship skills, knowledge and behaviours, whilst working and gaining real workplace experience.
Our apprenticeship success stories
Louie Webster
I am currently undergoing the IT solutions Technician (Software) Level 3 apprenticeship while performing my role as a Junior Implementations consultant. My role primarily consists on upgrading, moving server infrastructure and configuring and setting up of our Time and Attendance solution for our clients. I chose an apprenticeship due to the experience I can gain from my colleagues while also earning a professional qualification. On completion of my apprenticeship, im looking forward to having the opportunity to apply what I have learnt into the workplace.

I am currently in the process of competing my apprenticeship with WFM and so far my time here has been really enjoyable and insightful. I have had the opportunity to complete a wide range of tasks, including server moves, client upgrades and working alongside the hardware engineers. I have chosen to do this apprenticeship as I have a passion for IT and it allows me to develop my communication and organisation skills. The main part of the apprenticeships that I enjoy is that no day is the same and each day comes with its own challenges which enables me to learn something new.
